Shabby chic is a style of interior design where furniture and furnishings are either chosen for their appearance of age and signs of wear and tear or where new items are distressed to achieve the appearance of an antique. This is what I decided to do with an old drawer in brown wood stain:
On this photo you see the old color peeking through the newly "distressed" pistachio color that I mixed myself.
The inside of the drawers are painted orchid pink color, that is contrasting very well with pistachio color.
